What is a self-love coach ?
Basically, Self-love coaching is a type of coaching that focuses on helping you develop a positive and healthy relationship with yourself.
Self-love coaching is about improving your relationship with yourself before you love others.
It is about loving ourselves before we love others. As a coach, I am here to guide you and support you in your journey toward self-acceptance, self-care, self-worth and self-compassion.
How does self-love coaching look like?
It typically involves a series of one-on-one sessions where we explore together your beliefs, thoughts & behaviors, that could be in the way of having a good relationship with yourself but also with others! I guide you and help you look inward to find the answers and the path you need to achieve your goals and nurture your relationship with yourself before you work on getting better relationship with others.
What does a Self-Love coach do?
Most of my mission, as a coach, is to create a safe space for you to share and reflect on yourself. I'm here to support you and guide you inward. I help you develop self-awareness, challenge negative self-talk, overcome limiting beliefs and cultivate self-compassion. I listen actively to what you want to share and help you define your goals and reflect on what seem to be the best path and the next steps for you. It always and always will start with your needs and wants. We can work on building self-confidence, setting boundaries, practicing self-care, embracing your strengths and weaknesses, cultivating a positive self-image, exploring your attachment style, developing a deeper sense of self-worth... And the list goes on and on. We can also work on helping you getting closer to the life you always dreamed of. It can start with the place you live in, your job, or your lifestyle. It's about becoming you & developing new habits that will guide you towards a more loving life.
What techniques are involved in self-love coaching?
There are hundreds of tools & books out there to practice and develop your self-worth and self-love. Mindfulness practices, positive psychology, techniques aimed at re-wiring your brain, cold therapy, emotional healing, somatic healing, ... What really matters to me, as your coach, is to explore the ones that work for you. You are unique. The tool combo that will work for you will be as unique. It could be a combination of exercises, reflections, journaling, visualization, meditation, mindfulness techniques, relaxation, ... one of them or none of them. These tools are often what you can work on your own, once the session ended. It's what I love to call my self-love homework. It will help you shift your mindset and develop a more loving and nurturing relationship with yourself. A one-on-one session isn't usually the place for teaching you tools or techniques. However, if your goal is to develop a tool box for yourself, we can set up "creative sessions" together to explore the tools, techniques and approaches that could work for you. That's fun and I need to say, I LOVE TOOLS so those sessions are also a favorite for me.
What is the ultimate goal of self-love coaching?
The ultimate goal of self-love coaching is to help you empower yourself to live authentically, make choices aligned with your values, and embrase your inherent worth and potential. I'm not here to do the work for you or you would believe that I have the keys and you don't. The reality is, you have them all, right inside of you.
Does a Self-love coach give advice?
Because my experience of life won't ever be anyone else's experience of life, I won't be giving you advice. Because my advice will only ever apply to my own experience. BUT. I will guide you to find the best answers and advice for yourself by diving within, with you. Only you knows what's best for you. Trust that little voice inside.
How long do I need a self-love coach for?
I'm here to guide you so you can build habits of self-exploration. I will be there for you, as long as you need me, but my objective is to help you build that independence in your growth that won't make you depend on me. It can take between 3 and 8 sessions to develop practices, overcome fears, and embrace your new ways of loving yourself. But it's very personal and it all depends on your goals and what you're trying to achieve, shift, change. Just like counselling/therapy sessions, sometimes, you might need a last minute session, to help you see more clearly what's going on with a very specific subject. Sometimes, you don't.
Self-love coach for who?
If therapy is the best tool to get to know yourself from your past experiences, life coaching and self-love coaching is gonna complete this process by adding up some action-oriented thoughts in your daily life. It can be beneficial for anyone seeking to improve their self-esteem, overcome self-doubt, cultivate a healthier self-image, reach a more fulfilling life, align their life with their values, dreams and desires, ...
